FUNNYMAN RUSSELL BRAND has signed a two-book deal worth £1.8million.

HarperCollins will publish the first in time for Christmas.

A source said: “It will feature his views on life, football, everything really.”

The second book is due out in 2009.

His autobiography My Booky Wook has sold 600,000 copies in the UK in a year.

Russell, 33, said: “I’m pleased to be paid — I was going to write them anyway.”
