TOP totty SUGABABES proved a surprise hit at the sun-drenched festival.

Despite a line-up heavy on the scruffy indie types such as THE HOOSIERS, THE WOMBATS, THE ENEMY and THE CRIBS, the trio’s Saturday afternoon slot was warmly received.

They spurned conventional festival attire of jeans, T-shirts and wellies, and looked resoundingly glamorous.

AMELLE BERRABAH, HEIDI RANGE and KEISHA BUCHANAN sported curve-enhancing little black dresses and trotted off a hit-packed set in the Big Top.

And they insisted they were more than a match for the guitar-slinging acts elsewhere on the bill.

Heidi said: “We might not be seen as a traditional festival act, but we’ve played quite a few now.

“We’ve done the main stage at Glastonbury and V Festival so we know what to expect.

“We haven’t played one in a while though so it’s always a bit of a challenge.

"You’ve got to prove yourself again.”
