TROUBLED AMY WINEHOUSE is flat-hunting — in sleepy Bury St Edmunds.
She is looking for a new pad to be near jailed hubby BLAKE FIELDER-CIVIL when he is transferred.

Junkie Blake, 26, will be moved to a country jail this weekend after cracking up behind bars in North London’s Pentonville nick.

Worried Amy, 24, wants to rent a flat near the Suffolk town so she can visit him more often during the last 3½ months of his 27-month sentence for GBH.

Blake recently tore down pictures of Amy from his cell walls. And warders feared he might top himself after he burst into floods of tears and screamed: “Why me?”

He has been having counselling from Samaritans but begged staff to move him from Pentonville because he felt suicidal.

Blake is now being moved to one of three category-C prisons in Suffolk — Edmunds Hill near Bury St Edmunds, Blundeston near Newmarket or High Point in Lowestoft.

A source said: “Prison staff are genuinely worried for Blake and Amy’s management are happy because they feel she needs to move out of town.”
