AMY WINEHOUSE’s furious father is convinced a “pal” sparked her string of terrifying fits by spiking her drink with the killer drug ecstasy.
And last night he vowed to find out who was responsible for landing the troubled singer back in hospital once again.

Amy, 24, was rushed to A&E on Monday night after her distraught dad found her convulsing.

It was originally thought she had suffered a reaction to medication she was taking to help her quit Class A drugs.

But last night it emerged that cabbie MITCH, 54, is now certain that her drink had been spiked.

He called police on Monday to register his suspicions and has warned Amy he will find the “friend” responsible.

A source said after Rehab star Amy was discharged yesterday: “Mitch is furious.

“He’s certain someone put E in Amy’s drink — and he’s determined to get to the bottom of it.

“He is convinced that one of her hangers-on was responsible and he’s waiting for a toxicology report to show what caused her to fit.

“If his suspicions are proved right, he wants someone to be punished. He is seriously unhappy about Amy’s flat being a stop-over for randoms and wants an end to it.”

Medics raced to Amy’s home in Camden, North London, after she fell ill. They gave her oxygen before taking her to University College Hospital.

Doctors there made a split-second decision not to pass tubes down the Grammy award-winning artist’s throat in case they damaged her voice.

Amy, who spent the night under observation, left hospital via a delivery bay yesterday — wearing a headscarf and guarded by a giant minder.

She was seen sprinting into her house, where she was later recovering.

The star was also hospitalised after collapsing last month.

Mitch said at the time that she had developed the early stages of emphysema from smoking cigarettes and crack cocaine
