THE wife of baseball star A-ROD is threatening to release his texts to MADONNA.

Cynthia Rodriguez, 34, who has hit the New York Yankee with a £50million divorce suit, has copies of the messages New York Yankee Alex sent the married singer.

A source said: “They were instrumental in convincing her that he was besotted. The messages could be released if things get really ugly.”

Her legal team say the association was not sexual. Madonna, 49, denies an affair.

A pal of ace Alex, 32, told how he acted like a “smitten schoolboy” as he swapped texts.
