MADONNA is furious that lawyers claimed her relationship with baseball star ALEX RODRIGUEZ was “an affair of the heart”.

A source involved in his divorce battle revealed last night: “Madonna’s outraged.

“She told his wife Cynthia’s lawyers not to make any more statements about her – in short, shut up.”

The Sun told yesterday how the New York Yankee, 32, known as A-Rod, was hit with a £50million divorce suit.

Lawyers say his association with Madonna, 49, is NOT sexual. But a US TV station still mocked up how a love child might look.

Madge – not named in A-Rod’s divorce file – flipped when Earle Lilly, lawyer for Cynthia, 34, said: “It’s an affair of the heart.”

Madonna, in New York with hubby GUY RITCHIE, 39, denies an affair.

A-Rod, worth £225million and a convert to the Kabbalah faith Madonna follows, was in NY with Rabbi Michael Berg who helped Madge save her marriage.
