CHERYL COLE looks tanned from a recent holiday - though painfully skinny - as she sets out to judge X Factor wannabes in Birmingham.

Perhaps the GIRLS ALOUD babe should treat herself to one of the city's famous baltis for dinner.

Cheryl stayed at the Birmingham's plush Hotel du Vin before joining fellow judges SIMON COWELL, LOUIS WALSH and DANNII MINOUGE to search for the next LEONA LEWIS.

The Geordie lass seems to be settling in well as a replacement for SHARON OSBOURNE.

Yesterday's Sun revealed that Dannii has described filming for the new series as "a dream" without Sharon.

But judging by her sparrow-like frame, Cheryl is still not entirely recovered from hubby ASHLEY'S infidelity.
