Oasis, Bryan Adams, Estelle and Amy Macdonald have been honoured at a music awards ceremony.

The 33rd O2 Silver Clef Lunch took place at London's Park Lane Hilton.

Rock veterans Oasis received an award celebrating their contribution to the music industry - the O2 Silver Clef Award - at the glittering event, hosted by Myleene Klass.

Led by Manchester brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher, the band were at the forefront of the British rock revival of the 1990s and have influenced many top-selling acts from around the globe.

Recently reformed new-wave outfit Squeeze received the Icon Award. The Classical Award was given to Scottish violinist Nicola Benedetti.

The Ambassadors of Rock Award went to Canadian icon Bryan Adams, famous for smash hits such as Summer Of 69 and (Everything I Do) I Do It For You.

Award-winning comedy actor, writer and director Simon Pegg presented Glasgow band The Fratellis with the Best British Band Award. Estelle won the Download of the Year gong for her smash hit single American Boy, which features rapper Kanye West.

The International Award went to Meat Loaf, who's touring his Case de Carne Tour at various stadiums, arenas and festivals across Europe.

The Newcomer accolade went to 20-year old singer/songwriter Amy Macdonald. Her debut album This Is The Life went to No 1 when it was released in January, knocking Radiohead's In Rainbows off the top spot.

The charity event is held in aid of Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy, which undertakes more than 30,000 sessions annually with children and adults.
