Drew Barrymore and actor Justin Long have broken up.

The split comes just four months after the Charlie's Angels star gushed about her relationship on the Oprah Winfrey Show.

She told Oprah: "I've found a best friend, it's the best. This relationship is great, it's healthy and it's productive and it's supportive and it's full of humour.

"All our friends get along great, which is awesome because we travel together in packs. We're having an excellent time."

The couple started dating in August following Drew's split from Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti.

Drew was rumoured to be planning to marry the Die Hard 4.0 star after she was overheard talking about a Caribbean ceremony in May.

The actress has been through two divorces and two engagements.

A spokesperson has confirmed the split but is not commenting at this time.

We thought this one would last!
