COULD this be the beginning of a new celeb feud? The Sugababes reckon X Factor bosses made a mistake picking Cheryl Cole to replace Sharon Osbourne.

Girls Aloud singer Cheryl is a glam addition to the panel after Sharon recently quit - but Keisha Buchanan and Amelle Berrabah believe someone with more pop gravitas should have got the job - someone like Boy George.

Keisha said: "I would have preferred Boy George. He's got so much more experience. I think he would have been much better as the judge."

Amelle Berrabah added: "Yeah, Boy George has generations more on her. Not that Cheryl hasn't got any experience, but someone who has been going for as long as he has should have been given a chance."

Luckily Heidi Range balanced things up: "Cheryl did come from reality TV herself... so I guess that does make sense."

Hm, much as we love Cheryl, Boy George would have been a super-witty replacement for Shazza. And he wears almost as much make-up ...
